Well in normal times i would not be here!! Nor would i have looked up this forum!!
Ok i have been a loyal sprint customer for over 7 years now! I do allot of traveling and have sprints broadband usb card and have bought 4 other phones over the years. so the last phone was the HTC EVO
but before i jumped in I CALLED sprint and asked them if there was a phone that could look up on the internet and have maps and navigation and i could use it as a modem for my laptop! Well they said they had the phone that fit that bill!! the HTC EVO but i had to but the $30.00 a month data plan on to of the $69.99 plus $10.00 4g service per month well now they changed there unlimited service to something like 3gb or something like that! well when sprint called me to tell me they are changing the data plan from unlimited to way less
i had had enough there 4g service is not everywere or i can say only is the big cities and then that is spotty
so i told them well to shove that $30.00 somewere else!
Now i am not a geek and all i would like to do is use my phone to get internet on my laptop and do some downloading well maybe now if i can do alot of downloads out side of this i love this phone for all it can do!!
but i have not poked over ever inch of this phone as of yet i still find things i did not know they are there!!
i downloaded a app off of that android market well two of them easy tether lite this one wont work!!!
and then clockworkmod it works somewhat
So now here i am and i ask this is there a simple application that you can use that you do not have to run this set that and do this and then you will be connected?? Just plug you phone in on the usb cable and your done!!
is there an app for this or do you have to do this rooting stuff??? if the rooting has to be done then what one
( MOD ) or what ever you all call it ? Software??? is the most stable and safe to use?? i do not wish to mess up this phone!! but i do not know were else to go or to whom to ask!!
