Just spoke with a sprint AM. He said that word from corporate is that the phone won't have any backorder issues. Apparently They are/have been stock piling them for a while. I say there's probably some truth to that, as you usually let people whip into a frenzy over shortages of product.

Figured I'd add that to the known info about it.

To my understanding the Qik app is normally free but the updated version which allows for video conferencing is part of the mandatory $10 Evo fee.

I am a Best Buy employee. Best Buy mobile usually will order the phone for each customer that pre-orders. Apart from that, we will have a limited amount to sell for customers that didn't pre-order. If you pre-order, it is 100% you get the phone by the release date.

Cory - I was asking about the USB connection not the SD card. You last bullet references the MicroSD card for expandable memory. I want to confirm it uses the micro-USB for data transfer and charging.

The first post in this thread says the EVO will ship with 2.1.

2.2 is required to run Flash 10.1, so the EVO won't ship with it. When it will come is anyones guess

It does come Flash capable though...right?

It will include Flash "Lite" for sure. This works really well with embedded videos and flash based menus, but some things like the more complicated games won't work very well.

Yes it will have Micro USB. HTC told me there doing away with Mini USB on devices..

android OS 2.2 will come with full flash n u will be able to install apps to sd card .. a shame it aint comign with 2.2 ... and when u rely on sprint ... u will wait a year for the update

Question, hope this is the place to ask. New to android, but was wondering I have like 3 Gmail accounts. My main personal account, and 2 work accounts. One of which really need access to as much as my personal one. Will I be able to have both on my EVO? With notifications saying email and not mixing them together? Thanks.

20 fps. Not great, but it should be decent. I would have preferred at least 30fps but it would make the files larger.

Anyone else a little saddened by the 65k colors of the screen? With dithering it should really have 16 million.

Yep, that's my only real complaint with this phone! It's making me second guess whether to buy one immediately, or wait for other phones to come out that may have everything the Evo has, but a 24-bit display.

There are a lot of ppl running out getting regular HDMI cables (as I was about to be one of them) I think information on this connection being a micro HDMI type D should have been more advertised along with the device's specs.

At least those ppl can use their newly purchased cables to hook up their Blueray.PS3 or maybe use it as an extension cord from the tv.
