I currently have a Samsung Moment. The question is should I get the Htc Evo or wait a couple of months to see what comes out? I wonder what are the specs for the upcoming Samsung Moment 2.

As far as tech goes, if you refran to waiting for the latest and greatest, you will end up waiting forever because there will always be something better down the pipeline. As for the moment 2, i dont expect anything spectacular from the leaked shots i have seen

The Droid2 with a 2 gigahertz processor has been announced.

Now, I had been using an antique Motorola Razr until the Evo... and I could have kept on waiting until the iPhone 4 or the Droid 2 came out. However, I'm still ecstatically happy with the Evo and I'm glad I got it instead of waiting longer.

Why?
1. the damn kickstand. It's ingenious and I've used it an incredible amount. It's perfect for sitting up on my little lapdesk so I can watch videos while eating breakfast, or typing on my now synced bluetooth keyboard.

2. The size of the screen. Screw small! I want to be able to see the internet! I know the Droid2 is going to be close in size, but close doesn't cut it.

3. Look at how blazingly fast the 1gig processor is already. It's more than enough to stream HD videos and nearly anything else you can think of on a cellphone.

4. Sprint has the best cellphone plans right now. Your unlimited internet contract might not be offered later if Sprint opts to follow AT&T and Verizon. Best you got onto the best contract now.

You can't chase Technology.. Just pick some thing you are really comfortable with... I passed on the Pre, Hero and Moment over the last year just because I didn't think they were really what I wanted and I didn't feel any was a major upgrade from the iPhone I was carrying.... I finally jumped shipped and hooked up with a Nexus One for 3 months... Now I loved my Nexus One but T-Mobiles network was lacking... I sold it and again took a chance based how much I really did like Android and the N1 and preordered an EVO....

Now that I have it I do love it.... After 10 days now the size is still awkward (It's a pretty big phone) but not as awkward as that first weekend... There is always something better or different around the corner.... Just look at last weekend... EVO on Friday and iPhone on Monday... Droid X is coming what in July? Droid 2 coming in August (or at least from what I have read)

Go to a Sprint store.. Pick up the EVO and play with it for a little while.. Since Sprint gives you 30 days try it out for a few weeks and you will know...

Anything you hear on the internet, unless it's from Sprint.com, is speculation :)

Having said that, I expect Sprint to milk the Evo for all it's worth until at least holiday shopping time. I put my email out there for everyone to read, so i get some crazy rumors in my inbox. The two that i see most --
Samsung will release the Galaxy S on all major US carriers this summer
The white Motorola Shadow renders that were floating around are actually mock-ups of the next Google developer device, will come out around the holidays, and will be offered in a CDMA version.

FWIW, I believe neither lol. If Sprint's service works for you, get the Evo.
