So word on the street is that the Evo isn't the only thing getting a follow up. Apparently HTC is working on a follow up for the Hero and it's about damn time!!!! No specs or anything yet but a small group @ CES on a N2K basis apparently got the tip.

WHAT!?! I thought the follow up to the Hero was the Legend?
Here is what Wikipedia said about the Legend.
The Legend is the successor to the HTC Hero and is slimmer and smaller than its predecessor.
And the Droid Eris is supposedly the modified version. Another quote from Wiki
A modified version of the Hero, the HTC Droid Eris, was released on the Verizon Wireless network on November 6, 2009
If not I will probably get the Hero II because I loved my Hero.

The GSM Hero, with the chin was succeeded by the Legend in Europe and Canada. They both have the same form factor, and are in the same price range. The Sprint and other CDMA Hero's as well as the Droid Eris are all part of the same Hero class, because they have nearly the same specs. The US sucessor to these phones is likely the HTC Aria.

Because the Hero was so slow, however, HTC made the Desire line, which some people say replaces the Hero line. The Droid Incredible has the same specs as the Desire, so thats the US equivalent.

Any more info.?

Does anyone know anything else about the htc hero 2 coming to sprint for sure yet, or anything about the htc hero 2 being on sprint?
