HTC Incred - com.google.process.gapps messages driving me crazy

I'm a new android phone user (HTC Incredible) I installed CompanionLink USB and scynched with my PC Outlook and all of a sudden I keep getting this message...

Sorry! The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

what does this mean? How do I fix it. I already tried to "flash Market"

i had the same thing. i tried to use google sync to get my contacts from my BB to my gmail account. it kept failing. meanwhile my Incredible kept getting that same error. something made me think it was a contact, so i tried deleting a couple at a time in gmail and kept running into the same issue. i finally got frustrated and deleted all my contacts from gmail and poof - the error went away BUT here's where the trouble came. i then attempted to use google sync to get all my contacts from my BB to gmail. instead of SYNCING the two - it simply deleted all my contacts off my BB. no warning, no prompts, just 99 deletions. my heart sank. i've recovered most of my contacts from an old backup and through facebook, etc. but it still sucked. i don't even see any options in the app to modify the settings.

but anyway, that fixed the issue for me. HTH.
