from my view if you want timely updates then either buy a nexus or root, seeing as verizon has no nexus, that means root

Someone please quantitatively explain why GB is so special. I've been on it for months and nothing very special. Not a large upgrade from froyo at all.

especially since we have HTC Sense on our phones. Sense doesn't allow the android version to really show itself at all.

Yeah its really not going to solve all of anybodys problems. The eye candy with sense 3.0 is NICE tho.
All you sensible people looking for better battery life/zero chance of random reboots... Um sorry, gingerbread doesn't do that.
But its neat I guess.

Nope.. HTC said the Thunderbolt wouldn't be receiving an upgrade to Sense 3.0. I wonder if they'll change their minds now that we have a full port of it.

Nope we can count on 2.1 tho and at least that brings the quick settings in the notification pull down. I just need it for the practicality of it don't really care how pretty they make Sense I'll still wish for a senseless official version

He's referring to the 8GB of internal memory that was advertised with the phone but we only ended up with about 4GB. Either way.. its not something that can be fixed.. it is what it is.

All this time and they still haven't gotten GB ready for the Thunderbolt....and you want them to start all over again from scratch on ICS? The Thunderbolt will get ICS about 7 weeks AFTER the Thunderbolt II has been released?..Thunderbolt II will get ICS as an OTA update about 4 weeks after it's initial release date.
