HTC Inspire constant reboot

I have installed a custom rom and the phone it keeps rebooting to HTC symbol over and over. How do I get out of this and back to normal. I must not have wiped and cleared cache and chose to backup current roms when i installed. Does anyone know how to repair, this is my first time ever doing this, so i am new.

What i did was took out the battery, put it back in, and then held the power button and the volume down button together and waited til it booted up into the hboot screen and just applied the update and it rebooted fine except i had to reinstall all my apps and contacts.
