Hello all, I have been reading this forum for the past few weeks and I just wanted to post a heads up for some of the members that may be having battery issues. On my phone I've had a seemingly random issue where it wouldn't go into sleep mode and as such my battery was draining very quickly. After reading all the suggestions, I killed just about every application running on the phone. I started with a blank slate, without any widgets running, and couldn't get the phone to sleep no matter what.

For some reason, I switched off the live wallpaper (was using the HTC grass) and all of a sudden my phone will sleep. If I turn the grass wallpaper back on, the phone goes right back to staying awake 100% of the time. Interestingly enough, the HTC Sense live wallpaper doesn't create this same problem, so it seems to be okay to use on my phone, but if you're having an issue where the phone won't sleep, this may be a good place to look.

After making several adjustments based around how often the phone checks email and syncs with Facebook and twitter I can finally say I feel like this phone is finally giving me acceptable battery life.

One other note, I also killed the Engadget app. When looking at battery use statistics it was always near the top for network usage. I still like to keep up with that site, but i'll do it in a web browser from now on, because the application seems like it's always trying to sync data.

When I first got the phone, I immediately installed an AppKiller.. I had absolutely horrid battery life for 2 days. After reading this forum, I uninstalled the AppKiller, did a factory reset, and my battery has lasted me all day ever since (as long as I'm not playing games for hours).

AppKillers+Incredible= Battery killer..

Just a thought :)
