I just bought the HTC M8 two days ago and I'm a little paranoid about battery life. For all you guys who get 7-8 hours of screen on time, is this the kind of stats you got when you first bought the device?

Yes, you're fine. It takes a little bit, maybe a week, to settle in. Honestly I wasn't extremely impressed when I first got my phone, but now I regularly get over 7 hours screen on time. Actually, that's really good for being brand new, I wouldn't worry too much.

Almost 5 hours of screentime is good. If you're unsure u can factory reset your phone or try fully charging it and stream a youtube video, looping it till it dies. A good battery drains about 6-8 of pure youtube.

Thanks man. Any luck with art?

I haven't tried art but there seems to be mixed reviews on it regarding battery life. Some say it's about the same, some say it's a little better, and some say it's worse.

The thing is that I'm very conservative about my battery, 1/3 brightness, usually on power saver, GPS on battery saving, etc

You have a very weak wifi signal which probably doesn't help either.

Also, my current usage of battery is: screen, 50% and the app usage, 45%, is that normal?

Funny because mine has 35% screen, 45% apps.. and I dont get that much battery life either. With average use and 3-4 hrs screen my battery is down to 3% with 10-12 hrs of usage. With screen on my battery drain 10% per hour. What about you guys?

I only get 3 hours tops of screen on time. Seems too little, from what I've been reading. I have wifi, mobile data and GPS always on and mostly use 4g since I don't have wifi at work. Is this normal?
