HTC M8 Wont Update to 4.4.4 from 4.4.2... why?

I know there is a update and i checked the version and it said 4.4.2

I went to software update and it says no update available.

The 4.4.4 update is dependent on HTC building the update for the phone and the carrier approving the update.

I believe that HTC are working on a 4.4.4 update for the phone, however they may still be working on it or are waiting on carrier feedback before they release it.

Also I think HTC have come out and said that they plan on releasing the L release a few months after its official release.

Can't do much until then, unless you're happy with flashing Roms to your phone.

as said, there is no update to update to. you'll hear when it becomes available, then you can wait until it's pushed to your device

I was able to install the updates before I restored to factory. It ran smoother and.had.more widgets. Now I can get the update back. I got the phone ,3 days ago

Restoring your phone using factory reset doesn't downgrade the firmware. You've obviously thought you had 4.4.4 but it wasn't

No one here knows for sure. Unless there's an HTC employee around somewhere. It'll come when it comes. Just be patient
