HTC News Widget (Download)? DamageControl 3.1.1

Hey everyone,

I am running Damage's 3.1.1 rom on my EVO right now. I seem to have lost the News widget, Flipz has it in his, and it's in the shipped ROM, but Damage has removed it. I really miss the thing, I've done quite a bit of searching, found an older post that had it linked, but it was uninstallable for everyone.

This isn't the News AND Weather widget, but just the HTC News widget. Does anyone know where an APK is for this? I'd love to install it. Weirdly enough, out of everything on the damn phone, I miss this the most from the stock build.

Any info would be extremely helpful. Thank you!

Be careful you guys. I basically pushed these files in recovery to /system/app and I started getting the error that was going on with DamageControl 3.1 where the sys would continue looping the Sprint/4G animation over and over. Down right frustrating.

So DON'T do this... Unless I'm missing something.

I've added without issue, not with damages and treve's ROM though. That may be a different issue but I've removed them from a Rom prior to flash no prob and added them to a Rom prior to flash without an issue.

There's a small chance I have a better understanding than your average bear but it wasn't too difficult. If you say people are having issues you may want to toss them in the zip of the Rom you like then flash the Rom ::shrugs::
