HTC ONE 4.3 findings..Please post findings

2.. lock screen applications open with a slide up
3.. Answer call SLIDE UP
4.. Bluetooth.. I can finally hear the ringing of other persons phone.. no longer connects when person pick ups..

ALL THE NEW HIGHLIGHT STUFF! Seriously, I use it all the time. The new songs and ability to use your own music are huge.

If you were coming from 4.1 the quick settings are done really well. The addition of the three dots is a useful improvement.

This might not be a "cool" thing, but animations and transitions are definitely faster.

what do you mean with 2 and 3?

my phone already did that with 4.1.2... :S

not sure what of what im about to list is from 4.3 or 4.2.2 but here goes little things ive noticed (won't point out the obvious such as the new 'control center' in notifications).

the Gallery is much cleaner now. before it would welcome me with a sort of picture blinkfeed with pics from all over the internet now that appears to be gone, fortunately.

the stock weather widget from accuweather is much easier to read. they've increased the fonts and made them bold.

the folder icons, whilst not substantially changed, look neater and less improvised.

can now add widgets to lock screen with the new lock screen style.

daydream! (i know this came with 4.2 i'll list it anyway).


maybe its too early to tell the phone seems to run much smoother overall - which is as expected thanks to TRIM and what has been advertised by 4.3.

I got a negative occurrence with the update.

For some reason my country's time zone got changed from - 4 GMT to -3 GMT. I can change it manually, but the weather widgets will grab the time from the world clock even if I manually change my time zone.

Thanks. Once I mess with it more I might do a video on using your own music (there are inherent issues with posting a public video without licensing music, though. will need to do some searching).

Also, I discovered that you can use photos taken with other apps for Highlights. I'm sure other people already knew this. In my particular case, I can use photos taken with the Play Memories app linked to my RX100ii for Highlights. It'll even use short 3-5 videos that I take for them. Definitely gonna have to try that out.

In glad to see them improving on highlight's. It's such an awesome feature on the One. One of the main reasons I bought it along with the amazing screen and fluidity

Hello. I used "slideshow" to make a video of a birthday party i went to using my own music but then found out i could not share it online. with this 4.3 update i should be able to do the same?? and share??

You should be able to share a highlight anywhere. Once you save it it's just a video.

That's correct. I just haven' messed with it personally yet.

too early to jump to decisive conclusions, but i got the impression my battery lasted significantly longer after the update on the first day...

You are now able to move apps between the launch bar and the home screen.

Previously you had to move apps from the apps list, and dragging an app from the launch bar to a home screen just created a shortcut.
