HTC One Back and Home Button Lighting

In dark situations the back and home buttons will light up. Or if you put your finger over the proximity sensor they will light up too.

During the day, the buttons do not light up I guess because it is not needed.

However, last night in a low light room, it was hard to see the buttons and they did not light up. I cannot find any settings for these. Does anyone know if there is?

I know it is a little more battery, but I would rather them come on all the time when my display is on.

Hey, I haven't had much problem with the lighting on the buttons, every once on a while it's iffy.
But, do your back and home buttons glitch? Seems like sometimes when I press it doesn't do anything! Very frustrating!

Do you have a screen protector on? And the area for it to register is quite small. When i got mine at best buy the put a screen protector on for free and after about an hr of using the phone i had to really push on the back button for it to work. I dont like screen protectors in the first place so i took it off and everything was working perfectly.
