HTC One Battery question.

Hello, I am considering getting an HTC one and was wondering about a battery fail event... I understand normal warranty is for a year if anything happens, but after that is what I'm concerned about as I wouldn't want to buy a new phone in the next 2 years.

I'm curious if the battery does fail, does it ever fail so badly that the phone won't be able to turn on even if it's plugged in? If you can always have the phone working on a failed battery while it's plugged in, I suppose you could buy one of those charging cases... or some sort of external battery/charging thing?

Let me know!
Thanks

I haven't the One but the One X.
I use my One X for eighteen month and haven't any issue with the battery.
One time I had a frozen screen but a press of ten secs on the power did restart the phone.

I don't let the battery down less as to10% before charging.
For hiking trips I've an Anker battery power pack in my backpack :)

Good to know, but interested to know if the battery can go so bad to the point where the phone won't turn on even if you've got a power source plugged into the phone. Wall/Battery Case/whatever

Li-Ion batteries have a build-in protection against deep discharging so they should never go down to 0%.
Though I'd not risk it :)
