HTC One: Can't unlock bootloader after GPE conversion.

So I have the HTC one (AT&T) which I converted and it has been great. I've had it for 8 months and it has been converted for 7. I haven't really tried tinkering with it, as I live it in its natural state. So it was S-off and locked bootloader, no root. Recently I have been wanting to unlock the bootloader and try a few different things, like MoDaCo switch. So I tried unlocking the bootloader with the adb commands and it will not do it. Something about yadayadayada /Dev/block. It has been very frustrating seeming how this is just like a out of the box play edition. I have had all the OTAs and everything. So then I tried something that I found on the wonder how to site in which you S-on then you superCID. Fastboot flash the AT&T RUU and start over. Still nothing. It just says, failed and the Dev click thing again. So now here I am, S-on superCID with a locked bootloader. I even tried the cyanogen mod installer and still nothing. I am pretty adept at fastboot and adb. Good with the HTCdev unlock and I know about revone, firewater and moonshine. Tried the temproot/firewater method. Nothing. Anybody else have any ideas? BTW, the phone still runs like a dream, on 4.4.2!

Once s-off always s-off unless you went back to s-on. did you " fastboot oem writesecureflag 3" ? if not you should still be s-off. As far as unlocking the bootloader its not just a fastboot cmd, you need to fastboot the unlock code.bin you got from Htcdev the first time you unlocked the bootloader. try using the same .bin file if you still have it , if not go through Htcdev again and get another. Do you have a custom recovery installed?

I guess I never thought of using the htcdev bin file. And yes I did OEM securewriteflag3. I didn't think the HTCdev bin would work due to me being GPE converted. I thought it had to be the fastboot OEM unlock. I'll give it a go and let ya know, thanks.

And now I've tried the Unlock_code.bin and still nothing. I must have broken the bootloader unlock. I don't think I can even get back to AT&T stock RUU if I wanted to trade it in or send it in for repairs. Nothing I've found has worked. I'm stuck. That sucks.

Im not sure why you would go s-on, it doesnt matter now. Dang that hurts. What CID do you have?

So have you tried using a RUU, both the .exe and the zip?

Yes sir. Both ways. .Exe says it's not the proper update for my bootloader and I need to download the correct update. And the fastboot flash says HTC/Dev/block.

I think tonight I'm going to try a factory data reset from recovery and then try it again. After that, I am probably going to give up.

You did use these cmd's using fastboot with the RUU in the fastboot folder?

fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip "name of zip".zip
fastboot reboot

I've never seen the fastboot erase cache step on any of the step by step instruction I have ever read. I'll try it, will this wipe the phone or just the system cache?

So I factory reset twice. once through Recovery and once through fastboot. Still nothing. Maybe you can help me understand why it won't give me the getvar all. This is what it says

With the phone plugged in to the pc and booted into the bootloader and is in fastboot usb mode. Open the device manager on your pc and what does the pc Recognized it as?

Try the unlock token.

Looks like its supposed to work but I don't get the disclaimer to pop up. it just stays on fastboot usb screen......I give up! (but not really)
