HTC One Google Edition - Massive Battery drain on 4.4?

Hi, I recently converted my international One to GPe 4.4 and I'm having massive battery drain from 'Android System'. I was also getting drain from Play Services, but a location settings change fixed that, but Android System remains, using 80%+ of the battery. Has anyone else experienced this?

i have updated just yesterday but battery so far is great.
i did a full wipe before updating, i do that always before applying a big update.
May something went wrong during the update.
As said so far battery is no different as it has been before!

Hmmm... Maybe I should try a wipe and see if that fixes it. I literally only flashed the 4.4 RUU yesterday though, so I didn't think I'd have to wipe.

i'm using nexus 4.I also update to 4.4 but battery performance is too low.i have off everything..wifi,gps,sync,google now and reset factory settings but still battery problem is there..

what do u mean by wipe..let me know the steps what we need to do

i did a factory reset than updater to 4.4
It's my third day with 4.4 an battery is still very good.
No comlains

All that means is from 100% to 77% Android systems was 58% of the use of the power. Its not using 58% OF your power.

It used to be different. I remember screen being the biggest source of battery drain from my android phones, but my battery was going down FAST after the kitkat upgrade. Well... a wipe certainly did improve it A LOT. Now I'm getting crazy long battery times. Google play services process name changed to just Google Services for some reason.

Doesn't RUU process wipes the system and data by default? Otherwise, how come all the data is gone after the conversion?

When I converted the version was a clean 4.3. Upgrading to 4.4 brought all the junk from 4.3 + all the apps I installed so... Wiping at 4.4 got the whole thing clean at 4.4

Wifi always on bugs me though. The only thing that makes it go off is switching it to off. Location reporting and all won't make it go to sleep when the phone sleeps, not even disabling the "always on" at advanced wifi settings.
