Htc one - help?

I bought the HTC One last week, and its been perfectly fine until now, when I type the touch screen is clicking letters on the opposite side of the screen, also scrolling on newsfeeds it lags, it is brand new bought from a well known shop, I have re-set the phone multiple times and it goes back to normal for like an hour, any help or suggestions? thanks.

If it's brand new and a factory reset didn't help then it could be a defective unit. Take it back and ask for a replacement or see if HTC will cover it under a warranty repair.
