HTC One M8 battery drain?

My HTC one's battery drains pretty often no matter what I do, for example it'll use up 10% in half hour of use. I need help as I downloaded gsam and it says that the android is and android system use up most of the battery, help? Btw my phone has been mostly idle for the 19 hours
