HTC ONE M8 can't play videos, make or receive calls and no sound

Yesterday my HTC ONE M8 suddenly stopped playing videos on YouTube, Netflix, iPlayer etc. Also there is no sound whatsover on the device now and I can't make or receive phone calls. Does anybody have a solution or know what could be causing this? Thanks!

I am having the same issue! Not sure what caused this because it happened all of the sudden. Also, when people call me it doesn't ring or show that I have a missed call. I cannot go into my settings.. it crashes!

I'm also facing this exact same problem, and it started about 4 days ago. I guess something was updated on our phones that caused this to happen.

I tried booting into safe mode but it didn't fix the issue either.

After chatting with online support through my carrier, they suggested that it was a software glitch. Took it into my carrier.. Took them 2 hours to fix. They did a factory reset and that didnt solve any of the issues.. They had to do a reflash of the software in order for it to work. I ended up leaving with a new phone.. Don't want that issue to happen again.
