Htc one M8 charger not working

I have a htc one m8 that is about a year old, when i bought thee phone it charged quickly. However recently it started to charge slower. And its been getting worse, i've had times when i plug the stock charger and cable into my wall and i actually lost battery when i came back later. Other times it just stays stuck at 90%. I know its not the phone because when i position the charger in a certain direction in a certain way in the socket it charges like normal. Whats with the abnormillaty.

One of the pins on the charging port isn't solidly connected to the board it's mounted on. That has to be fixed. Since that's on a little sub-board assembly, most shops will just replace the whole sub-board assembly. (The labor for unsoldering the connector, cleaning the board and resoldering the connector - assuming that the shop has someone capable of doing such work - would be more than the cost of the board assembly (which is bout $20). There's still labor for opening the phone and putting it back together - which will probably be more than the board.
