OK, I finally found a fix to this sudden problem. I bought my M8 a few months ago. All of a sudden, it began switching off and rebooting, probably 8 to 15 times a day. I tried EVERYTHING. The internet was useless. This is the first time I couldn't find an answer on the 'net. I tried factory resets, uninstalling apps... you name it, I tried it. I contacted HTC Australia who were [redacted by Mod]. Because they ascertained that my phone was from an American batch, they wouldn't help. If you're reading this HTC Australia; I will never buy ANY off your products again. [redacted by Mod]

Anyway, I realised that my phone was losing SIM card connection. It would sometimes be fine and other times have no connection (no reception bars, just an x). I couldn't make calls. I took my SIM card out and reinstalled it a few times. It didn't work. I then changed my SIM to only pick up 3G. Rebooted the phone then set it back to Auto 2G, 3G, 4G and rebooted again. This is day 3 and the phone is fine.

So, for many with this problem it seems like it all stems to the SIM. I am not sure why the SIM card causes the phone to reboot, but it does.

If my above didn't work then I would have tried other things like cleaning the SIM card, replacing it or maybe taping it down to the holder making sure not to tape over the gold bit.

If my phone stuffs up again, I'll update this thread.

Hope this helps.
