HTC One M8 defective Screen?

In the past couple of days, the screen started to behave strangely, bright text/pixels would bleed along the vertical axis.
Initially, it is ok then slowly appears and get worst. ( see photo).
On the photo, you will see a sub frame showing the defect just under the top right hand corner on a blank screen ( under the time display)
Any idea, is it consequence from overheating? or it means a screen replacement.
