I am having mobile connection issues when I have a vodafone sim in my M8. I don't get the full 4g coverage in areas where it is 4g capable (verified by the network map coverage) and it defaults me on the slowest speed, edge, which displays as 2g on the display.
I have tried using other sims such as three and giff gaff where I do not experience the above behaviour and always on a strong signal.
I tried a sim replacement with Vodafone to no result.
If anyone does have any possible causes or solutions, please let me know.

Are you sure that the version of the phone you have supports the Vodafone frequencies, and that it is fully network-unlocked?
