My wife and I have HTC One S phones (T-Mobile) reaching almost 3 years of age.
She has been bugging me about getting an iPhone 6+.

I have been a fan of HTC (Sense) for a long time (Hero, Evo, ...)
Should we jump ship to Samsung or some other Android platform?
Any big issues with mixed OS households?

A bigger screen will help our four decades-old eyes...

I have been "eye-ing" the M8 for awhile now.
When's the best time to buy "the previous year's model"?
Where's the best place to buy? eBay, Amazon, ???

Would the M9 be the better choice? It would be quite a leap from the One S.

Thanks in advanced!

HTC forever 😊
My girl has a damned Samsung.....
I think the M8 is great. The M9 has the better technical data and will come with Sense 7....

If you're think bigger screen and Samsung, there is only one way to go; and that's the Note 4 in my opinion.

The issue I have with my M8 is screen size to phone size ratio. It's a beautiful phone, and the boom sound speakers are nice, but I'd give those up for a bigger screen or smaller phone.

The M8 can still hold its own in terms of specs and performance, and the price should drop once the M9 hits.

There's no issues with mixed devices in the household. I'd wait until the new phones are released and get your hands on them before making any final decisions. And check out the Note 4. It's great for older eyes.

Just visited AT&T and T-Mobile.
Learned a lot about the new plans, retail prices, and "lease" plans...
Looks like I might wait a few more weeks for the price of the M8 to come down.
The M8 is a favorite with the store managers.
Might have to buy my wife an iPhone 6+ because her friends and colleagues have one...
Ugh...expensive toy for just games and the occasional text. LOL.
HTC forever!

I just bought the M8 on Verizon. Loving it so far. I also have an iPhone 6 on Sprint, as my primary line. I'm an iPhone guy, but the Verizon line is a backup. I got the M8 free on contract.

The M9 if you want better hardware.

Otherwise, the M8. It's nearly the same phone, minus 2014 hardware on the M8 compared to current-gen hardware on the M9, though it won't make a difference in everyday use, unless you use your phone a lot and/or use your phone heavily (3D games, watching video, streaming on LTE, etc.), which, in that case, the bigger battery and newer hardware in the M9 might be more favorable.

Either way, it's a GIGANTIC step-up from your One S.

I've had my M8 since May. I've loved it since I got it. I have had no issues with battery life, the camera, the screen quality or the speed of the device, even now.

M8 will be cheaper when the M9 launches as people sell their used ones to buy their new ones.
