Htc one m8 pairing but not playing bose speaker

Hi,

Need some assistance. I have just purchased a bose mini soundlink Bluetooth speaker, it pairs fine the bose speaker makes a bleep noise. But when I go to play music on my phone it comes out the phone? Even though it says sound link speaker is connected? Really confusing. When I go to play via Bluetooth on my iPad it works first time no issues?

Could someone please help.

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Bluetooth​, select the speaker, and make sure Media Audio is checked on.
