HTC One m8 Top speaker louder than bottom

My HTC one m8 's top speaker is louder than the bottom speaker while playing both videos and music. It's annoying because most of the sound is going to my left ear when I watch videos. Also , BoomSound won't turn off , so I can't check if that's the problem.

Im pretty sure, boomsound can't be turned off by default when using the front facing speakers.Maybe the cause is due to Dust/debris getting in your lower speaker making it muffled. Maybe a can of compressed air can help.

I've tried turning BoomSound off with headphones and it automatically turns it on. I've also tried cleaning out the speakers with a brush.
