HTC one M8 transfer storage or root first

i jz bought a new HTC One M8. shld i transfer my data frm iphone first or root the phone first ?

New to android. please help!!

If you are going root most likely you will flash your M8 with a custom firmware, which will remove any existence data on the phone.

So first root, and then transfer your data from iPhone to M8
