My mom’s HTC One M9 out of the blue doesn’t want to turn on, instead it’s going into a boot loop. After entering bootloader I found out that the bootloader is locked and cannot boot to recovery mode. When I try to boot to download mode it shows a loop of a black screen with HTC logo on it. I tried to connect it to my computer (which has Windows 10 os) to use RUU but unsuccessfully as it always shows error 170 (with multiple other USBs as well). HTC Sync doesn’t even recognize my connected phone. Also on Device Management the phone is listed under ‘Other Devices’ with name ‘Android’ and a yellow triangle. When I click on it it shows an ‘Error code 28’. Also I tried to unlock bootloader several times but without any luck as my computer won’t recognize my phone but it is worth mentioning that in computer settings>devices the phone is listed normaly (HTC One M9). I also don’t know the os of the phone since it isn’t mine. Have fun!!!
