Black and/or Blank Screen came about when viewing an advertisement video which seemed to start with audio then abruptly stopped with no video indication present.
Upset and disappointed to say the least, as no problems have been apparent or as catastrophic with this unit until now.
Googled problem and found forum and checked out without success in finding my specific problem being expressed but able to acquire diffident ideas from similar stated problems and their respective solutions that helped me to conjure up a probable remedy.
My solution was to press and hold upper Volume button and than press and hold power button until unit restarted to reboot or around 10 seconds.
Unit rebooted and no other problems are being manifested at this time or that I can see. Hope this will help if you come across the same or similar problem.
