HTC One Mini - Music player lock screen

Hi,

I have since sent out for a replacement phone, but I'm still having the same trouble with the replacement.

Basically the music controls on the lock screen seem very intermittent, I used to use this feature a lot on the iphone, as I could control my music without having to unlock the phone. It seems this has tried to be implemented, but only works about half of the time, anyone experiencing the same issue? :'(

I have no issues listening to the music, I can control the music player even if the screen is locked.
