HTC One Remix - video issue

[AC Question]

Hi y'all,

When I record a video with either the built-in "Camera" app or the purchased "Cinema FV-5" app, it looks and sounds fine.

But when I bring footage into an editing app, such as VivaVideo or PowerDirector, the audio lags behind the video by a fraction of a second --- not terribly long but clearly noticeable and very annoying.

I've tried rendering the video anyway just in case it was only the editor doing that during the editing process, but the final version comes out with the lag as well.

Does anyone have a clue why this is happening? It's very frustrating.

I'm running Android 4.4.2, which my phone tells me is up to date.
