Is it me or is the motor not very strong. I have the vibrate key press on and I can barely feel anything. Also today I had it on vibrate and I could not feel my phone ring. Am I the only one that thinks this?

I agree it's a little light but I don't mind it. It's not as strong as the iPhone vibrate but it sure makes a loud vibration when sitting on my wooden desk lol. I'm sure there's a way to make it vibrate louder? Or stronger ?

It is light but its also located on the top of the phone. So it depends on how you old it I guess. I can feel it vibrate most of the time.

I am on the other end of the spectrum. I feel if anything, it is too strong. If I have my phone on my desk at work and it vibrates it makes more noise rattling around than if it was actually ringing! I have taken to turning it on silent w/o the vibrate and just keeping an eye on it for notifications from time to time.

Lol I've woke up on 2 occasions and found my HTC One laying on the ground playing the alarm! The vibration literally threw it over the edge. I've since put something next to my phone to avoid it vibrating off the table. :P

I think it depends on the phone cause my first one vibrating was strong, got it replaced and this one isn't as strong at all and my screen is different so I think the vibrating motors may be different ?

My first HTC One (silver) really vibrated strong. I now have the black One and it's not so strong. Not that the color matters just thought I'd mention it. Definitely a noticeable difference though. It's not an issue for me though. You could always go into the store and check out the floor models for comparison.

There's two explanations for this problem. One, the motor is located at the top rather than behind the soft keys like how Samsung does it. And two, the HTC One uses a rotational motor rather than a oscillating one which has a more focused vibration. The rotational motor feels strong if it's ringing, but it's not that good at short bursts for your soft key presses. I returned my phone for this reason, lack of expandable memory, and no replaceable battery. I want an HTC phone but I just can't rationalize these trade offs especially when I have 80gb of storage on my phone with 10 full length movies.
