i shot a video of my tiny dog howling as an ambulance passed us the other day using my HTC ONE. i tried to share it via textra with some friends but the file was too large. i ended up transferring it to my apple computer, later that day, and using quicktime to convert it to sharable with iphones (and presumably making it smaller). anyway, i then loaded the files on to my phone and shared them with some friends. here's where it gets scary....a day or two later, i decided to delete the extraneous versions of the file from my phone. i think the original was mp4 or m4v or something like that. so i deleted the others. then a day or two after that i noticed the file was gone. the original! so i assumed i must've accidentally put a red x on all the videos when i was trying to delete two or three. i went back to my computer, and re-loaded the original onto my phone. it was there yesterday. i watched it. today, its gone. this is terrifying. is my phone randomly deleting files?? has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? is there any recourse other than abandoning the htc one ship?? i can't imagine tolerating randomly vanishing files for long. please help!!
thank you!!
