HTC One X pixilated screen on start up

So I got my HTC One X today. Out of the box I started it up and all I got was a pixilated screen. I have tried the different ways to reboot (Holding the power button down w/ the volume down key & Holding the power button down until the back, home and recent apps buttons stop flashing and THEN holding down the volume down button). Nothing seems to help.

Is this fixable or not?

Is your handset new, refurb, or used? If it's under warranty, just return it for an exchange. My One X display has an occasional tendency to "mess up" and looks like a 1950's TV with vertical hold problems. But that only occurs for a brief second before the screen returns to normal.
