I have an HTC One X and it is telling me that I have a software update to version 3.16.11.4 (358.44Mb)
When I click OK, my Notification bar says "Download Unsuccessful".
When I click this a message flashes up followed by a Cancel/OK box that says...
"Phone storage not ready..
Your phone storage is not available to store the system software update because it is being used by your PC as USB storage. Disconnect USB and press OK to start the download or press Cancel to exit"
However, it is not connected to a USB.
As most of us know, the storage shows as unavailable when mounted as a USB device. As soon as you unplug USB it says "preparing storage" or something similar and the storage re-appears including gallery photos etc. I try the update again, same stupid message....
I have tried plugging into the USB and selecting Charge Only. I have tried booting in safe mode - both to no avail.
Why on earth does it think it is connected via USB when to mount the storage it clearly knows it isn't...
