To make it short, I have had some problems with my touchscreen that I cannot deal with anymore. I had tried factory reset, and although i reinstalled my apps too quickly, that as I had discovered was not the problem. Today I had done a factory reset and not installed any apps other than those on the phone. Yet the problem already was back. Before I though I had until this month, December till an upgrade. Due to the fact we had to wait till march to upgrade the last time, that is the ending date. It went from having to deal with this problem for 2 months to 5. (now 3 months) What can I do?

And due to one screw up a.k.a JACKASS ,(a guy at Verizon), we have no insurance to replace the phone.

If you want the info on the problem,
When I slide my finger across the screen, one of two things happen: It registers a second touch or It registers a touch along with the sliding touch( like when pressing or tapping)
When I want to restart my phone, as I press on the restart, it registers around my touch rather than where my finger is touching preventing a restart unless in landscape mode
When I press on the back of the phone (pressure) it registers a touch
When I press on the power button it also registers a touch.

You could try to get the phone replaced by Verizon. I know it's out of warranty, but sometimes you can sweet talk the sales person into getting you a refurbished replacement.

Other options would be to buy a phone off contract or see if you could get Verizon to let you upgrade early. I am a big fan of buying off contract so you don't have to sell your soul for 2 years.

Yep, I just did what Vito suggested. Got a new moto X off contract direct from Motorola. $0 down $0 interest.

Swappa has a lot of used phones pretty cheap.

You could also try replacing the screen, but that is probably more hell than good at this point.

I just ordered an off contract Moto X last week too! My Rezound has occasional touch screen issues, although mine is because my phone got run over by a car after it fell off of my bike. It sometimes reads my presses somewhere else on the screen or registers presses that didn't happen. Oddly, if I turn off the screen for a second it usually stops.

I have tried things like that but only a short temp fix

Time for a new phone, I'm afraid. Hey, these things don't last forever - except in my drawer of retired devices.

Sounds like a bad screen unfortunately... like the others said, its probably time for a new phone unless you want to attempt a screen/digitizer replacement or send it in for replacement.
