htc sense input has stopped - HTC M9

[AC Question]

Ok so.. i did a system update; its now coming up saying htc sense input has stopped. I can't type anything. I've tried rebooting, clearing the cache in the app, uninstalling and reinstalling updates, leaving my phone off for a number of hours.. I really don't want to factory reset because i don't know what i'll loose and i use my phone for work.
