HTC Sync Manager Restore taking forever and not working
So my M9 has been acting funny like the gestures not working correctly, and bluetooth only staying on for 5-10 seconds before automatically turning itself off, among other things. Talked to HTC support about it and they suggested a factory reset. So I backed everything up via the sync manager on PC and through the backup HTC account on the phone.
Well now when I log into the HTC account in the restore part of Settings on my phone, it says I've never backed up the phone before and theres no restore.
When I try to restore on my PC I have let it sit "restoring" at work for over 8 hours and it only got to 50% (that's the highest it's gotten). Never a failure though. Just stuck and moving slowly between 43%-50% for hours
I backed it all up at work, so the back up file is on my work PC. I backtracked where the sync manager stores the back up (c\user\appdata\local\htc blah blah), and I made a copy so I could take it home and let it sit and restore overnight. Well I put the backup files in the correct folder and pointed the sync manager restore directory there, but when I open the sync manager to restore it say's there's no restore file.
I've lost months of pictures and contacts, as well as important texts. I'd really like to be able to restore them from the restore files I have, but it's just taking forever and I don't have 3 days to let my phone stay plugged in to restore.
Before you mention the facebook app interfering, I've even deleted FB completely from the phone, and still getting the same issue. It's been a week now and I've been starting the restore process the second I get to work, but 8 hours later it'll only get as far as 49-50%. Right now it's sitting at 7%...
Any suggestions?
