HTC Sync Manager

I have found out why Sync Manager keeps crapping out on me and it's because for some reason I don't have the USB drivers for the phone installed on my PC (Win 7 x64) Can anyone tell me where I can get the USB drivers for my HTC One from please as a quick trawl of the interwebz only seems to provide me with links to download USB drivers for certain phones (Nexus etc).

The program keeps crashing and restarting with no warning or error message and I have adb.exe (Android debug I believe) running twice on my system and those also keep stopping and restarting every five seconds of their own volition.

I am trying to get some information from an iPhone backup, so unless anyone knows of a better way of doing it, I am stuck with this truly awful piece of software unfortunately.

Have you tried using the HTC Transfer tool? Its an app that lets you create an adhoc wifi network between two phones to transfer photos/contacts and even sms messages. Not sure how much functionality it has with ios but it transferred everything from my S2 without a hitch.

Thanks mate. Unfortunately all I have is the iPhone backup, the iPhone itself was wiped, I guess I could restore the phone and try again but it seems like a bit of a palaver. I've found where the SMS backup file is the iOS folder on my PC and will try an app I found in the Appstore called 'SMS Backup & Restore' once I convert it to an xml file.

You should be able to find directions on xda to download the drivers. It should be in the Android SDK. If you open tools somewhere there should be option to download missing drivers.

I found a webpage that converts the iPhone SMS database file into an .xml file then uploaded it to phone and converted it using the app I mentioned in my post above. Completely hassle free.and quick to do.

This One toolkit on XDA will install the latest HTC One drivers for you. I just wish the phone would stop trying to install HTC Sync everytime I connect it to my PC.

It is buggy on my mac as well.
