History: Two days ago I decided to root my phone following Nat Nills video using the Revolutionary one click method that does not erase your data. That went fine, everything worked as expected without problems.

Next I followed Cory Streater?s forum blog on what and how to get rid of bloat apps using super manager. I installed Super Manager and removed VZW_Golf, SlackerRadio, VZW_Rhapsody, TuneWiki, Blockbuster, VCast, CityID, VZW_RockBandStub, V navigator and some other Verizon stuff. After moving these apps to the SD card everything still seemed to work fine. I then installed Rom Manager (clockworkmod) and made a backup file. I then uninstalled Rom Manager, don?t ask me why. At this point everything still working as expected.

Now here?s where everything goes wrong.

I tried doing a Sim card lock following Gover Solomon?s video. While I was doing the Sim card lock I kind of knew something was wrong but anyways I proceeded and locked my phone where I could not unlock it. It keep asking me for a PUK which I entered the one I thought I had entered during the setup process but it did not unlock the sim card. At this point I could not use my phone, only thing that came up was the PUK unlock. I took my phone to Verizon who had a special code they could enter to unlock my Sim lock. This special unlock code did not work, so to fix my phone they gave me a new sim card. This worked while I was in the store. On my way home I noticed my phone had rebooted to the Clockworkmod recovery screen and click on the reboot system now. After that my phone reboots every two minutes approximately. I emailed HTC and they suggested booting up in safe mode which I did but still reboots after ~ 2 minutes. I then did there next suggestion which is a factory reset which did not work either, (selected recovery) I got the little green android with progress line underneath but after one third of the progress line it went to a triangle with exclamation mark in it and just hangs.

I am hopeful though because if I do the factory reset I get to the white, revolutionary screen at this point the phone dose not reset and if I select recovery it goes to a clockworkmod screen and does not reset.

And now the million dollar question what to try next?

The options at the factory reset (revolutionary white screen) are

FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
SIMLOCK
HBOOT USB
IMAGE CRC

If I select RECOVERY it takes me to the clockworkmod Recovery (v5.0.2.1) screen which has these options

Reboot system now
Apply sdcard:update.zip
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Install zip from sdcard
Backup and restore
Mounts and storage
Advanced
***Go back****

Please help!!!!

Use the 2.11.605.5 RUU to get the phone working again. You will lose root permissions after this is done but you will have a working phone again.

First... take the sd card out of the phone and place it in your computers card reader.. if you don't have one they sell external sd card readers. Put the pg05img.zip on the card and place it back in the phone... boot into recovery. The zip file will start to load up.. when asked.. select "Yes" with the volume up key to start the upload. When its finished... reboot the phone. You should now be back to the latest Gingerbread update.

Directions:
2.11.695.5 RUU - AndroidPolice_PG05IMG_Mecha_2.11.605.5 - Minus.com
-After downloading it, rename it to "PG05IMG"
-Drop the file on the root of the SD Card
-Turn off your device Hold Volume Down + Power to reboot into the bootloader --the file should automatically be detected and the flashing process will begin.
-Wait for your device to complete the process and reboot

You will have to flash the SU zip to get root permissions back.. stop by this thread when you have it working and need help re-rooting the phone... or if you need help or have any other questions.http://forums.androidcentral.com/th...ow-root-unroot-thunderbolt-revolutionary.html
