HTC U 11 front camera not working

[Android Central Question]

When I try to make a video call or take a selfie, my screen looks gray, and if I try to take a picture, it will take a picture of what ever is in front of me. I already tried a complete factory restore. Any ideas?

Have you tried the camera in safe mode?
