HTC U Play in canada?

I'm interested in trying this phone out. Not a fan of big phones. So any idea on availability in canada and price?
Called HTC customer service and they can't tell me any details on U play.

I'm reaching out to my Canadian friends, BUT my research is not promising. The 3 major carriers I checked (Telus, Bell and Rogers) all showed no HTC phones for sale, and only Bell had an HTC selection tab, but it was blank.

That being said you can always import one and as long as it has the correct LTE and such it SHOULD work. HTC has not mentioned a release date that I know of, BUT here's a blog with what we know....

We don't know yet if they'll be available in Canada. I can't see why they won't, but our carriers always surprise us (not always for the best ).

The HTC10 was exclusive to Bell, unfortunately. Not sure if this bodes well for the U.
