HTC UI reloads constantly

GB on my HTC EVO for the most part has been great. But everytime I exit Market and a number of other apps, HTC reloads its UI, causing a 30 second wait before I can do anything else. This is getting very irritating.

I am guessing I have a GB incompatible background app or service that is crashing the UI. Can anyone shed light on the cause or give me a method to hunt it down?

This has been reported by several posters (including me) over in the general GB bugs, etc thread. The only real suggestion was to do a hard reset and full reload on a "clean" phone. I haven't gone that far yet but am still seeing this problem.
