HTC Wildfire keeps turning off.... HELP!!??

My HTC Wildfire has started crashing. It started about a week ago and has got more and more frequent. It will randomly shut down and won't power up again unless it is connected to a power source. It has got to the point were it won't stay on for over 5 minutes off a power source - it's getting ridiculous now and it's not like I can just go out and buy a new phone. Someone please help me!!

It might be that the battery is dying.

If it is it's not showing up, it's decreasing normally
