Huawei Alexa?

Is the Mate 9 an Alexa device or not?
Alexa seems to be hobbled on the Mate 9 lately. Looks like skills under the app have been disabled or maybe the update killed features.
The few Alexa enabled smarthome devices I have won't work with Alexa on my Mate 9. Maybe Amazon just wants me to buy their devices now.

Worked with our Ring doorbell for a week after installing Amazon's Alexa app and registering the doorbell task and linking.
Far as I can tell Amazon hobbled the Mate 9.
It's ok though I'm all done with Amazon.

It's here. It's useless, so I shut it off. I **** it off on my Amazon tablet as well because, well, it's useless.
