Huawei-built Nexus rumored with 5.7-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 820 and fingerprint scanner.

Yeah I just read about that myself. I love the large screen on my Nexus 6, so if I upgrade its definitely going to be to the new 6 rather than the new 5. I especially stoked now that I hear it's going to have a Snapdragon 820. I'm putting a lot of faith in Google that they wouldn't use a SoC that's going to having any overheating controversy and if the rumored benchmark score of the new Nexus 5 is 85,000. I wonder what the rumored benchmark of this will be? I'm definitely excited.

I really hope the new LG Nexus 5 (if it exists) comes with a fingerprint scanner.

I hope this is true, because I'm really wary of the 810. But a metal-build Nexus phablet with the Note 4 display, SD 820, and a fingerprint scanner? To me, it needs to have at least a 4,000 mAh battery, and at the very least a front bottom speaker, if not front-facing stereo speakers, which I prefer. If they're priced at $549.99 and $599.99 for the 32 and 64 GB variants, definitely sign me up. But the SD 820 is a great start. I'm actually excited. :)

Sounds good so far. I'm reserving judgment until I can see this thing in the real world.

Any chance that this will come to Verizon? What are your opinions? I personally don't think so. But we'll have to wait and see.

VZ better stay the course in supporting Nexus line or I'll be switching to Project Fi. I can not and will not use any other flavors of Android. Vanilla Android is amazing.

Motorola Nexus 6 I believe is the first and last that big phone. I am happy with it. Well for me is hard to believe Huawei will use SD CPU. But yeah why not. Secondly maybe will be two versions of Huawei phones. Asia model comes with MTK/HiSilicon chip and rest of world SD.

Going by I/O, and things that were discussed about Android M, I'm looking forward to some of the supposed features, such as System UI Tuner, fingerprint scanning, power management, and hopefully a dark theme. There will also apparently be stylus support via Bluetooth, drag and drop, and swipe to dismiss.

It makes me wonder if the Huawei Nexus will come with a native stylus. It just makes me all the more excited for this phone.

Hahaha, we are such spoiled brats now. Yes, I would like them to stay as close to 6 inch screen as possible. Love big screens.

Me too. I held a 5.5" phone and it felt way too small. I don't care about benchmarks, and the N6 is fast enough for the next 18 months. I haven't even paid off my credit card for the N6 yet, and have invested in 18 cases and a couple skins. No way I'm getting the next one even if it does benchmark better. And I don't care about a fingerprint scanner or USB-C. But I will think about the Nexus 2016.

Color me excited.

I actually liked the hardware design of Huawei devices, but their software didn't really go well with me.

Huawei's hardware design with stock Android seems to be a great relationship. Can't wait!

Yeah I'm sticking with the N6 as well. I don't want to go down in screen size and this phone is great. I'll keep my money for another year and continue to enjoy my N6.

I absolutely love the 6 Inch screen. Downsizing to 5.7 might not happen this year for me either. I rarely use my laptop anymore. This thing is a beast.

How is the build quality on the huawei phones these days? I used to own one a while back and I wasn't very impressed.

I've researched Huawei lately regarding a Nexus phablet because I used to have a Huawei MyTouch, and wanted to see how their more current devices fared. I posted a comparison video of two Huawei phablets in the Nexus 2015 section of Upcoming & Rumored Devices, check it out. Huawei gets praised for the build quality of their phones, being all metal. They've been vocal about their preference for FHD over QHD in terms of battery life, and they pack huge batteries in their phablets. Their screen to body ratio is 80%.

Hate to see Nexus with ugly Verizon logo or any carrier logo... They should only sell with Google play store with all necessary radios like the current one and people who are Verizon can go thru hoops to get it activated or Verizon can stop being an *** and just be a dumb pipe.
