Huawei Messening App or Google Messages?

I am finally back to EMUI after a small absence. I was wondering how this community likes the stock Huawei messaging app vs Google Messages or even Textra.

Does the stock Huawei app have any advantages over the others?

Pretty much all the SMS apps are the same really with minor differences, I use signal for the internal backup function

Mate 10 default messaging app has UGLY colors for the text bubbles...YUK...Textra all the way!

Default Messages app. Using a black theme on the phone also changes colours of the app to match so it looks and functions great

Was having issues with MMS on Google Messenger with my Mate 9. They may have fixed that with an update, but I switched to Textra and I'm very happy.
