Huawei p10 lite - not enough storage although having deleted all images

Hello,
I have a Huawei p10 lite and my images were up to 13 GB. I deleted all but even now the storage still gives me the same message and it still shows 13 GB allocated to images, without allowing me to install any large updates for the firmware. I believe it has stuck and although I restarted it cannot be updated on that matter.
Any ideas? Is rebooting my only oprtion?

You probably had all your images backed up to Google, so they weren't taking any space on the phone (except for the thumbnails, which is minimal). Rebooting is just another word for restarting.

You have to uninstall apps or delete files that are actually stored on the phone.
