huawei p9 updates

Hi im not a noob but this is my 1st huawei in about 5 years. I recently found a good deal on a p9 and bought it as I had a play on my friends and was happy for what the price was. Problem is that im stuck on 6.0 emui 4.1.3 and no matter what I try (flash manually with dload) or smash update button, in
Im getting nothing Im in uk and its sim free and my friends wich is EE locked has 7.0 emui 5.0 I believe so any ideas what is going on? Was on b182 when purchased now on b210 becuse I got a 500mb update within last few few days but no nougat. Please any advice/info would be appreciated

Try downloading Firmware Finder on the app store and force that update for your phone

tried that, unfortunately that hasnt worked it just fails

Was there a update tho? Firmware Finder can be a headache and requires to update it few times for it to work.

Well I found my current build number and then downloaded the build number what come after it and still no luck lol. I got exited when I got a ota from b182 to b210 but nothing come ota after that

Is it under warranty? If so then Huawei could warranty it for you

Keep trying. It took me a few hours fiddling with firmware finder to get it to finally take the update

Yeah it definitely is not easy to use
