Huge Battery Life Improvement

Has anyone else noticed a huge improvement in battery life after a week and a half of use? I own the Deathstar M9, haven't had any power saver on and the brightness is leveled at the two tick mark all day(medium brightness)! Some video watching, a lot of web browsing and a lot of music with the screen on.

From my fingers to you on the M8, M9 or the Chromebook! :D

Sorry forgot to post GSAM screenshot! :p

I'm not very good at reading GSam

What are the key things to look at here?

The 6hr SOT?

I thought I was the only one! I haven't downloaded it yet, because I wasn't sure what to look for on it.

lol

I have it downloaded, and there are lots of stats

There is an average estimation of screen on time, or there is the actual screen on time, but what does that even mean without any usage stats?

Screen on time is the most important followed by overall time followed by active time which is the things like the screen off but streaming music.

Other than that, looking at the apps you can find out what is draining your battery the most.

The averages take time to determine. But the per charge data is bang on.

I'm gonna download to see if I can figure it out.

This is actually pretty good on screen time. The total time would be about 11-12 hours which isn't very good. But seems like you were using it a lot.

Good news and I hope I will see the big improvement soon.

I always "train" (run it down to 0% and charge it back to 100%) my battery 2-3 times before evaluating the battery life and I start to see the improvement after 2 cycles already and it looks promising.

On my note 3, gsam sot report is 15% better than system report. I'm very confused about this and not sure if gsam can be trusted.

The system screen on time isn't very good. The system stats in general on android isn't very accurate or detailed.

I know lithium ion isn't supposed to have that whole cycle problem, but I've always thought it takes at least 3-5 days for my battery to normalize. Just seems to be erratic the first few days.

I am not sure but some people claimed that lithium battery could have "memory effect" too? Like this article below..

Memory effect now also found in lithium-ion batteries

Fascinating, however, the traditionally named "memory effect" causes irreversible capacity lost, the "memory effect" described in the article seems readily reversible with a full charge cycle and sufficient time of waiting.
